How Does It Work?

Typically, an enlarged prostate causes uncomfortable urinary symptoms because it narrows or blocks the urethra. The UroLift® System uses tiny implants to open the obstructed pathway that’s blocking urine flow, addressing the blockage itself.

First, the UroLift® Delivery Device is inserted through the urethra to access the enlarged prostate. Then, tiny implants are placed on either side of the obstructed pathway, permanently lifting and holding the enlarged prostate out of the way and increasing the opening of the urethra.
