Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) Texas Division Appoints Theron Park as Market President and CEO of St. Joseph Health

HOUSTON, TX – June 14, 2018 – The CHI Texas Division has appointed Theron Park Market President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of St. Joseph Health (St. Joseph) effective July 30, 2018. A well-respected healthcare leader, Theron brings to St. Joseph an accomplished, established career as an administrator committed to continuous quality improvement and the highest standards of clinical excellence. “We are very pleased to welcome a proven leader like Theron Park to our Division leadership team,” said T. He led more than 10,000 caregivers who cared for patients in eight hospitals, 14 joint ventures, a large reference lab, and more than 60 outpatient sites spread across five geographic markets. Providence St. Joseph is among the largest Catholic health systems in the country. Theron has also served as Chief Executive for Providence Portland Medical Center, a 483-bed tertiary hospital, and Providence Milwaukie Hospital, a 77-bed community hospital. Prior to joining Providence, he served in rural hospitals and health systems in Texas and Montana in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility. Originally from Texas, Theron received a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
