St. Joseph Health Grimes Hospital Recognized with Quest® Award for High-value Healthcare; Grimes and Burleson Hospitals Recognized for Top Performance in Premier’s QUEST2020™ Collaborative.
Navasota, TX, August 9, 2018 – St. Joseph Health Grimes and Burleson Hospitals were recognized this past June at Premier Inc.’s annual Breakthrough Conference and Exhibit for providing outstanding patient care as critical access hospitals. St. Joseph Health Grimes Hospital was recognized among its peer group, which consists of hospitals of similar size and patient mix, with the 2018 Quest® Award for High-value Healthcare from Premier Inc. This award is given to critical access hospitals that provide outstanding patient care and achieve top performance in all five areas of Premier’s QUEST2020™ collaboratives. These categories include affordability, effective care and coordination, prevention and treatment for leading causes of mortality, person and family experience and patient safety. St. Joseph Health Grimes and Burleson Hospitals were also recognized as Top Performing Threshold Award finalists for achieving top overall performance in at least four of the five areas measured in Premier’s QUEST2020™ collaborative. Premier’s QUEST2020 is a three-year program designed to help health systems connect with peers, evidence-based practices and data. The program is aligned with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s National Quality Strategy to provide care for individuals and the community. QUEST2020 members outperform their peers by 23 % in the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) Hospital-Acquired Condition Reduction Program and by 29 % in the Value-Based Purchasing Program.
