St. Joseph Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, tops national rankings for quality of rehabilitative care

BRYAN, Texas, March 6, 2020 – St. Joseph Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, was recently named within the top 10 percent of 868 inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs) that qualified to be ranked in the IRF database of Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSMR) in 2019. UDSMR^® is a non-profit group that evaluates rehabilitation hospitals on their delivery of quality care. To determine the rankings, UDSMR^® uses a system that measures the efficiency and effectiveness of a hospital’s rehabilitation programs. The system evaluates and tracks a patient’s progress through the rehabilitation process to document gains. This is the thirteenth year UDSMR^® has issued the awards. St. Joseph Health Rehabilitation Hospital is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries including strokes and other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.
