St. Joseph Health Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Bryan Maintains Five-Star CMS Rating

Posted in: Accreditations

Bryan, TX, February 10, 2020- St. Joseph Health Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Bryan has earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, the highest ratings of long-term care facilities in our area. CMS created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help the public identify the quality of each nursing home, with five being above-average quality and one being below average quality. This data is updated every six to 18 months. The Bryan facility’s five-star rating is based on the totals of weighted star ratings from: Health Inspections – The health inspection rating contains the three most recent health inspections and investigations due to complaints. Staffing – The staffing rating has information about the number of hours of care provided on average to each resident each day by nursing staff. This rating considers differences in the levels of residents' care need in each nursing home. Quality Measures (QMs) – The quality measure rating has information on 15 different physical and clinical measures for nursing home residents. The QMs offer information about how well nursing homes are caring for their residents’ physical and clinical needs. The rating is displayed on CMS’s Nursing Home Compare.
