Working Together to Support Families in the Brazos Valley

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas (RMHC CTX) and St. Joseph Regional Health Center announce a formal partnership and opening of a new Ronald McDonald Family Room.

Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are comforting havens located within hospitals, typically located near the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. The Family Rooms serve families of children up to age 21. The space offers families a nurturing place to rest and regroup while staying close to their hospitalized child.

The future St. Joseph Regional Health Center Ronald McDonald Family Room will serve the growing needs of the Brazos Valley families who access medical services for their hospitalized children. As the fifth Family Room in Central Texas, the space will be approximately 700 square feet and will feature a living room, kitchen/dining area, two bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry facilities . Families will also have access to computers, the Internet and a children’s play area. Architectural plans will be displayed at the press conference.
