St. Joseph Health announces partnership with EnsoSleep

(May 26, 2021 - Bryan, TX) St. Joseph Health is pleased to announce a new partnership with EnsoSleep, an artificial intelligence program that scores and analyzes sleep studies in a matter of minutes. Traditionally, the over 1,000-page sleep study reports have been manually reviewed, which was a time-intensive process. EnsoSleep frees up dozens of hours each month, allowing providers to spend more time with patients and ensuring that they receive proper care, guidance and treatment.

Additionally, St. Joseph Health has implemented a Sleep Navigation program which identifies patients with sleep apnea during pre-op assessments. The addition of EnsoSleep has already greatly contributed to the amount of time that providers are able to support these patients and take them through the testing and treatment process.

"This program will ultimately enable us to expand patient care and provide more holistic treatment and education to a population of patients that can now benefit from ongoing sleep care treatment and improved quality of life,” said Robin Parr, Manager, St. Joseph Health Sleep Lab.

The goal of the St. Joseph Health Sleep Center is to provide the highest quality of care during sleep testing and treatment. Sleep studies are used to diagnose disorders that can lead to poor sleep quality and have been linked to weight gain, depression, weakened immunity, brain fog, and increased risk of chronic conditions including type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Sleep studies are additionally used to diagnose various conditions such as sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome and sleep walking.
