Temporary Changes to Clinic Locations for COVID-19
In a continuing effort to best respond to the current health needs of our community, St. Joseph Health has made changes to our operations. Bryan Express Care has relocated and consolidated with College Station Express Care. This change was made in order to separate patients with respiratory illnesses or symptoms from patients without in order to reduce exposure of COVID-19.
If You’re Seeking Care for a Respiratory Illness
Patients are strongly advised to contact their primary care physician’s office first when experiencing symptoms. In Suite 300A within the College Station Express Care facility, a respiratory illness clinic will be set up for the treatment and care of patients who are experiencing respiratory-related symptoms. While walk-ins are welcome, our doctors and health care team will take them based on availability, which can lead to a longer wait or needing to return on another day.
College Station Express Care Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
COVID-19 Testing Capabilities
St. Joseph Health offers convenient and quick access to COVID-19 testing with or without a doctor’s referral.
Our clinicians use the PCR test for highly accurate results. This method can detect as little as 10 viral particles per sample, a method more accurate than any other offered in the Brazos Valley.
What to Expect:
- In most cases, your results are available within 24-48 hours of testing.
- With a physician-referred test, your insurance should cover the cost.
- For patients wanting a “non-referral” option, meaning that the test doesn’t require a physician’s order, the cash price is $85/test. This option is not covered by insurance.
- As we move into the fall and enter flu season, this equipment will also allow us to test for flu and COVID-19 at one time.
- Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend you make an appointment.
- Testing for symptomatic patients will take priority over testing for asymptomatic patients.
If You’re Seeking Care for an Illness Not Related to Respiratory Symptoms
Patients seeking treatment for illnesses not related to respiratory symptoms can continue to seek care at College Station Express Care. Those patients will be seen in Express Care Clinic in Suite 400A, which is located to the immediate left once the patient enters the building through the front entrance sliding doors. Hours for College Station Express Care are listed in the previous section. In order to direct you to the appropriate location for care and to schedule you as quickly as possible, please call the clinic prior to arriving at 979-731-5200.
We will continue to care for patients in all of our primary care clinics, and patients are encouraged to call their primary care physician’s office first with any symptoms they may have.
Physicians Temporarily Relocating
With this change, several other temporary changes also occurred. The primary care offices of Garth Morgan, MD, and Adel Massoud, MD, have moved to our clinic located in The Physician Center at 3201 E. University Drive, Ste. 425. For questions about existing appointments with these two physicians, please call this clinic at 979-690-4828.
Thank you for your ongoing support of St. Joseph Health and for your understanding as we navigate this ever-changing situation. These measures are being taken with the best interest of our patients and our team members in mind so that we are able to minimize COVID-19 exposure, conserve supplies, and provide the best support to our community.
