WellFIT Program

At St. Joseph Health, our community fitness program offers the opportunity to exercise with an experienced and friendly staff including Group Fitness Instructors and our Health Coach using state-of-the-art equipment in facilities designed specifically for adults.

Some of the amenities included with the program are:

Gym Access

Our gym includes cardiovascular workout equipment such as treadmills, stationary bicycles and elliptical machines as well as circuit training machines and free weights for strength training. During open gym times, clinical staff and exercise physiologists provide the following. 

  • Fitness advice
  • Personalized exercise prescriptions
  • Adjustment & updates to exercise prescription as needed
  • Instruction on proper equipment use
  • Health education
  • Blood pressure measurements when needed 

Water exercise

Our aqua-therapy pool is available to all members of the WellFIT Program. It is a great alternative for persons with arthritis, joint problems, chronic pain, or those who are looking to lose weight. Our knowledgeable staff can offer guidance, tips and techniques for swimming and specific exercises in the water. We provide pool equipment such as flotation belts, dumbbells and noodles. There are also opportunities to get involved in a group water aerobics class or attend open pool times to exercise at your own pace! The water temperature is kept between 85 and 88 degrees year round.
