Cardiac Rehabilitation

The cardiologists and support staff at St. Joseph Health Cardiac Rehab are passionate about continually improving the way we help our patients get back to life after heart surgery or other heart-related event. And when you’re in our care, we treat you like family.

Your cardiac rehab team will develop a customized program that includes education about your condition, plus an exercise and eating plan based on your condition, lifestyle, goals and preferences –and designed just for you.

Cardiac rehab at St. Joseph Health Heart and Vascular Center is designed to help you recover from a heart attack, other forms of heart disease, or surgery to treat heart disease. We’ll help you regain your strength, prevent your condition from worsening, reduce your risk of future heart problems, and improve your health and quality of life.

The American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology recommend cardiac rehab programs like ours.

A cardiac rehab program that never stops improving.

Our Cardiac Rehab team includes cardiologists, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, social workers, exercise physiologists and other specialists who provide treatment and instruction on how to alter your lifestyle and lower your risk factors after a heart event.

Having a personalized cardiac rehab plan from St. Joseph Health Cardiac Rehab is especially helpful for patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass, valve surgeries, heart catheterization, balloon angioplasty or who have had a heart attack, congestive heart failure, or peripheral vascular disease.

Our cardiologists provide:

  • Monitored inpatient activity including exercise prescriptions
  • Risk Factor modification and counseling
  • Assistance with referring discharged patients to nearby outpatient programs

Because we never stop researching, studying, testing and refining our approach to cardiac rehab, our program is always improving. We’ll never settle for good enough when it comes to your heart health. And you shouldn’t either.

St. Joseph Health Cardiac Rehab. Because your heart health is too important for good enough.
