Diabetes Wellness Program

You Can Take Control of Diabetes

Have you recently been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes or Pre-Diabetes? Or do you need a refresher in the latest diabetes recommendations? Learning to live with diabetes is the first step towards feeling better and living a longer, healthier life.

St. Joseph Health offers a free, comprehensive Type 2 Diabetes education program taught by a diabetes educator and a registered dietitian. This self-management program includes two, 3-hour sessions designed to support you in improving your health and taking control of your diabetes. Topics discussed will include proper nutrition guidance, exercise recommendations, blood glucose monitoring, usage of medication, and other health tips to successfully take control of your diabetes using a self-management plan.

These classes are held at the St. Joseph Health Medical Office, located at 2700 E. 29th Street, Suite 140 Classroom in Bryan.
