Senior Enrichment Volunteer

St. Joseph Health offers a variety of senior focused services, including assisted living services, skilled and intermediate nursing home care at our Skilled Nursing & Rehab locations and with the MatureWell Lifestyle Center.

We are looking to build on our already wonderful Volunteer Program and have a variety of areas where you can invest your time and bring smiles to our residents. 

What can volunteers do?

  • Greet patients and guests as they enter our facility
  • Help with wayfinding and answer questions 
  • Assist on nursing floors
  • Groups can sponsor monthly birthday parties
  • Bingo callers and helpers
  • Playing games with residents (dominos, cards, table games, puzzles)
  • Music- playing musical instruments such as piano, guitar, etc.
  • Sing-alongs with residents
  • Manicures
  • Crafts
  • Exercises
  • Room visits (reading, talking, listening, etc.)
  • Helping with monthly calendars, newsletters and bulletin boards
  • Decorating for holidays and special events
